About Limerick Jazz
We run spring and an autumn seasons featuring the best of Irish and international contemporary jazz. The last three years have seen visits from Chris Potter, Thomasz Stanko, John Abercrombie, Manu Katche, Guy Barker and Soweto Kinch.
Limerick has a very strong jazz scene featuring regular promotions of local artists by organizations such as Speakeasy Jazz and recent concert appearances by Wayne Shorter, Bobby McFerrin and Bela Fleck.
Dolan’s Pub on the Dock Road, Limerick is our main venue. Dolan’s is in business for over ten years and provides an outstanding range of performance spaces in its warehouse and upstairs rooms. Most gigs are on Wednesday evening at 9.00pm.

We also promote jazz education in Limerick through the Limerick Jazz Workshop which meets on Tuesday nights at the LIT Millenium Theatre, followed by a jam session at Bentley’s pub on O’Connell Street.
To be added to our mailing list for future events please email quoting “jazz mailing list”.
We are always keen to get volunteers involved in running Limerick Jazz and can particularly use help in promotion. Please email or phone if you can spare us some time or have a suitable place for us to put up posters.
