We’re back for our sixth year!
Our ensemble-based format is a great way to learn and allows students
to apply what they have practiced at home in a practical way leading up
to a number of public performances. Our main sessions are on Tuesdays
from 7 to 9 pm with a beginners class from 6 to 7 and our junior
workshop is on Saturdays from 12 to 2.
This year’s Autumn Semester starts a bit earlier than usual on
September 4th. The good news is that this will allow four rehearsals
before workshop members get the chance to perform at the first Limerick
Jazz Festival on the weekend of September 28-30. The semester will
conclude with our Christmas performance on Wednesday 5th December.
This makes for about 14 sessions in total (there will be no class w/c
October 29 because of the mid-term break). As usual cost will be €20
per session (€10 concessions) with a maximum charge of €240 (€120).
If you have any questions please contact me or check out a lot more
information at www.limerickjazz.com/workshops/. If you would like
to take part for the first time, or if you know somebody who might wish
to get involved we will hold a number of assessment sessions before
September 4 and we will do our best to get you involved if you can’t
make the initial sessions.
